BOOD provides an alternative and easily accessible way for farmers to get farm inputs at fair prices; improved ways that will give them and their households maximum returns on their farms and a resulting raise in their living standards. Over 60% of farmers in Daffiama, Issa, Busie district are confronted with issues of poor quality of inputs and lack of access to inputs needed to achieve optimum yield at the end of each farming season. Input companies on the other hand require cash repayments at the end of each farm season which leads many farmers inability to get access. Also, buyers of grains struggle to find the right quality of corn that fits their required standard and quantity demanded at specific times of the year when needed and BOOD was set up to help solve these problems.
