Kosmos Innovation Center is excited to announce the opening of applications for the 2026 Cohort of the AgriTech Challenge Pro — an advanced business incubation program designed to support high-potential agribusiness start-ups ready for growth, scale, and impact. The KIC Agritech Challenge Pro supports young entrepreneurs to drive technology and innovation as a catalyst to enhancing productivity, improving yields, and creating more jobs within Ghana’s agricultural sector.
Are you building an innovative business in Food Innovation or Agri-Machinery? This is your opportunity to work with industry experts, mentors, and business advisors to accelerate your entrepreneurial journey and bring your solutions to market faster.
The AgriTech Challenge Pro is designed for ambitious start-ups seeking practical incubation support, product refinement, market readiness, investment preparation, and business growth opportunities within Ghana’s agribusiness ecosystem.
Through the program, selected start-ups will receive real-time incubation support from KIC’s Center of Excellence in Kumasi, a specialized facility providing advanced technical infrastructure, engineering support, and commercialization services for startups, MSMEs, and corporate partners. The Center is a comprehensive maker space comprising six specialised maker centers designed to facilitate the development of agricultural technologies and innovations, enabling the transformation of ideas into tangible, market-ready solutions.
As part of the program, participants will also benefit from:
- Business incubation and acceleration support
- Industry mentorship and coaching
- Product and market development support
- Access to technical expertise and innovation resources
- Investor and ecosystem linkages
- Entrepreneurial capacity building
- Networking and collaboration opportunities
The AgriTech Challenge Pro continues to empower young entrepreneurs to develop innovative agribusiness solutions that address critical challenges within the agricultural value chain while creating jobs and driving economic transformation.
The program forms part of the Initiative for Youth in Agricultural Transformation (IYAT), an initiative of Mastercard Foundation in partnership with Kosmos Innovation Center to train and equip the next generation of young leaders and entrepreneurs in Ghana’s agriculture sector to drive solutions that unlock growth barriers in key agriculture value chains and create work opportunities for young Ghanaian women and men. The partnership pushes for system level changes that position Ghana as a continental demonstration of agriculture innovations suited to the African context. Since its inception, the program has put more than 64, 165 youth into direct and indirect jobs.
If you are ready to scale your innovation and create meaningful impact through agribusiness, apply now to join the 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro Cohort.
