GreenHeart SE emphasized that the project is not only about carbon removal but also about celebrating farmers as the backbone of Ghana’s food systems. By positioning Tepa as a model for circular economy solutions, the initiative underscores Ghana’s commitment to climate-smart agriculture, food security, and rural development.
Speaking about the importance of innovation in addressing climate action Mr. Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, Executive Director of Kosmos Innovation Center highlights:
“This milestone by GreenHeart SE demonstrates the power of innovation when young entrepreneurs are given the right support and ecosystem to thrive. At KIC, we are proud to see one of our incubated businesses develop this carbon removal project. The initiative not only advances climate-smart agriculture but also positions farmers at the heart of solutions to the global climate crisis. It reflects the vision of KIC to empower agribusiness startups to drive transformation and resilience across Ghana and Africa.”
The strong turnout of traditional leaders, development partners, and agribusiness champions underscored the shared vision of building a future where agriculture drives both prosperity and climate action.
Through this project, Green Heart SE is affirming its commitment to innovation and sustainable agriculture. Through its efforts, together with other initiatives in the country, Ghana is taking concrete actions to turn carbon pollution into carbon solutions, with farmers at the center of the transformation.
