GanaFert Ltd: Powering Greener Farms with Organic Innovation

GanaFert Ltd, co-founded by Nana Kusi Appiah, is leading the way in Ghana’s transition to sustainable agriculture with its eco-friendly, organic fertilizer, made from crop residues and animal droppings, and enriched with natural nematicide extracts.

With a product designed to boost yields and protect vegetables from pests, GanaFert’s product is a solution born from nature, and made for farmers who care about productivity, soil health, and environmental responsibility.

Ganafert is a KIC supported business in partnership with Mastercard foundation.

“At Ganafert, our mission is to help farmers grow more while doing less harm to the environment. We believe organic agriculture is the future, and we’re building that future with every bag of GanaFert.” said Nana Kusi Appiah.

Through smart partnerships and an emphasis on waste reduction, GanaFert not only contributes to healthier crops but also reduces pollution by converting farm and animal waste into valuable farm inputs, a key step toward a circular economy in agriculture.

“Innovative, climate-smart solutions like GanaFert are exactly what Ghana’s agricultural sector needs. They represent the power of agribusiness to tackle productivity and sustainability challenges at the same time.” said Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, Executive Director of the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC).

With its strong environmental focus and farmer-first approach, GanaFert is proving that green can also mean growth, for crops, communities, and the country at large.
