Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) Ghana is proud to showcase the ingenuity and resilience of Ghanaian youth-led agribusinesses at this year’s Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF 2025) in Dakar, Senegal.

A delegation of KIC-supported startups, including Pure Lube (producers of grease from cashew waste), Agrimercarb (producers of black soldier fly for livestock and aquaculture), Kodutech ( a start-up producing sanitary pads from banana stems), Agro Empire ( processing snail farming by-products into raw materials used for cosmetic industry), Soysage (processing soya into sausages), Husk Technologies, Farm Wallet, among others, are participating in the Ghana Deal Roomhappening as a side event at the forum. The Deal Room is a platform connecting high-potential agribusiness with investors, development partners, and strategic collaborators to accelerate their growth.

In addition, one of the highlights for this year’s AFS Forum is Pure Lube’s participation in the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize competition, where the team is pitching for an opportunity to win awards to scale their business.

Beyond the Deal Room, KIC has also secured an exhibition booth at the Forum, enabling participating startups to showcase their products and innovations to a global audience. Products from KIC businesses unable to travel have also been displayed, ensuring visibility for the entire KIC community.

Themed “Africa’s Youth: Leading Collaboration, Innovation and Implementation of Agriculture-Food Systems Transformation,” this year’s AFSF highlights the critical role of African youth as innovators, collaborators, and implementers in shaping the future of food systems.

By supporting these startups, KIC is reinforcing its commitment to nurturing youth-led agribusinesses, providing them with international exposure, and amplifying their role in shaping global conversations on sustainable food systems.
